Young pop sensation Lorde got wind Tuesday that the vehemently anti-gay Westboro Baptist Church would be picketing her concert in Kansas and is now urging fans to counter protest the church.

The WBC made headlines this week after it was announced that the church's former leader, Fred Phelps, who has since been excommunicated, is near death. It didn't take long before people took notice to the WBC's picket schedule:

The post, which is titled "Westboro Baptist Church will picket Lorde at Midland Theater to warn the living," reads:

"New Zealand came forth with a young lassie that doesn't have enough sense to put in a thimble. Now the world has elevated her to the status of an idol. Then the world began to weigh in. They think this and that and blah, blah, barf. REALLY?! This is where your time is spent?...

This generation thinks they have something going on and that they have understanding and that they know better than all that went before. NO, nothing is new under the sun...

You are blind and naked and wretched and miserable and worse, you don't even know it. You chase your idols and lusts and anger the Lord your God, such that he will not pass by you any more...

Listen up! Lorde has NO wisdom worth having. Here is the ONLY wisdom for you at this hour... God will not now and never has and never will permit his creation to engage in same-sex marriage and survive to tell about it!"

The WBC also posts to a parody of Lorde's mega-hit single "Royals," full of horrible lyrics about the apocalypse. You can listen to that atrocity here. Also, you can check out the lyrics over at MTV.

When the 17-year-old Kiwi singer found out the "God Hates Fags" church would protest her Kansas show on March 21, she took to Twitter, according to Billboard.

"hahaha omg just found out westboro baptist church are going to picket my show in kansas city," she tweeted, linking to the WBC's picketing schedule.

"Everyone wear rainbow clothing to that show," Lorde added. "Everyone try to kiss church members who are same sex as you they will so love it."

The tweets have since been deleted, however.

He response comes not long after she told off an Australian radio host, who joked about rumors that she and her pal Taylor Swift are more than just friends, E! reports.

"Are you bringing your new bestie, Taylor Swift? I see your guys' pictures everywhere," host Kyle Sandilands of KIIS 106's Kyle & Jackie Show, said. "Are you guys, like, uh, are you together now?...Not together as in lesbians...I'm not talking about 'Ellen together.' I'm talking about, like, you guys are friendly, right?"

Lorde replied: "What do you mean you're not talking about 'Ellen together?' Is there something wrong with lesbians? Is that what you're trying to say?"

The host explained, "Oh my god, no, I would love that. Are you going to confirm now that you're in a lesbian relationship with her?"

"Don't ever try it. It's not working," Lorde said.
