Hallmark Channel hunk Luke Macfarlane is taking his hammer and saw to reality TV with a new series, and husband Hig Roberts couldn't be prouder of his man.

Macfarlane is a talented carpenter as well as a film and TV star. He and designer Olivia Westbrooks bring their skills to America one home at a time on the new Hallmark+ series "Home is Where the Heart Is."

But this isn't the same stale recipe for home renovation reality fare, Parade reported.

"In each episode, one family invites Macfarlane inside a once-glorious house that has either been inherited or holds special meaning to them - but is long overdue for some TLC," the outlet explained.

"Macfarlane works with Westbrooks and a talented team to seamlessly blend the past and present, creating a beautiful, reimagined space that feels refreshed and welcoming, but maintains the heart, love, and charm that has been present inside its walls for decades."

"I really couldn't have asked for a better partner in this than Luke - he elevated every aspect of the project, not only through his expertise in this field and years of hands-on experience, but also through his genuine connection and immense empathy toward each family we worked with," executive producer Jessica Sebastian-Dayeh told the publication.

But it's not just reality TV fans and home reno hardcore types who are taking notice of the out "Bros" star's new gig.

"Luke is on the cover of Out Magazine's latest issue," Just Jared noted.

Macfarlane's husband, Hig Roberts, celebrated both the cover and the new show in a post to Instagram, Just Jared detailed.

"Going to spend a moment here appreciating Luke and the way he is showing up for the world," Roberts posted. "Having a front row seat to the alignment of your life's passions is beautiful and inspiring."

"I am happy the world will see the results of 'tinkering in the woodshed' and the continuing of your family's legacy," Roberts went on to add. "All done with kindness and for the benefit of others - showing it is still possible to lead with heart and empathy."

"Still waiting on that new desk though 😉."
