OnlyFans Star Josh Moore Earns $37K Per Month – And $600 Goes to Penis Insurance

British OnlyFans creator Josh Moore rose from having mere pennies to his name to living a high-flying life as a gay adult content star who rakes in anywhere from $37,000 to nearly $50,000 some months. Not incidentally, he pays hundreds monthly to insure his biggest asset.

UK newspaper the Daily Mail got into the details in a "day in the life of a gay porn star" profile that brought to light the joys and trials of a line of work many may think they could succeed at, but which involves more effort and creativity than most people could probably manage.

Moore told the newspaper that "It's not all success stories" in the world of adult content creation. "I think a lot of people think, 'Oh, I'm good looking. I've got a nice body, or whatever, I can do that,' and they try it, and then they fail."

The reason for that disconnect between illusion and reality, the porn star said, is "you have to have so much creativity and the ability to brand yourself and market yourself really well on social media."

"The job is really a hybrid one."

But for those who do succeed it can be a lucrative career path indeed. Moore described feeling "rich" when he was getting paid a little more than $600 for porn shoots by studios.

"Now, the pornstar lives a life of luxury with his two dogs in a leafy Clapham property that he owns," the Mail continued. He "only has to insure his appendage for '£500-a-month,'" the site said.

As a content creator, Moore earns much more than the comparatively paltry sum he earned before – and he gets to pocket the proceeds for himself. Moore pointed to how using platforms like OnlyFans "cuts out the middleman," so that "you get 80 percent of the profit from your content."

"It's been a game changer in altering the nature of the porn world," Moore added, "and in some ways has made it a less frowned upon profession as it was previously."

His success comes from a deep-rooted ambition to excel in the field that he traces back to his school days.

"I always wanted to be a porn star," the handsome hunk told the Daily Mail. "I remember being sent to the headmaster at school once as I wrote it out as one of my career goals."

His ambition came from a sense that porn stars are succeeding in ways that everyone else might not be. "They always looked like they were living their best lives," Moore explained.

What's not so evident from carefully lit and composed images, though, is the amount of drudgery required behind the scenes.

"When I'm not actually performing, I'm organizing shoots, engaging with subscribers, editing content, doing tax returns, and maintaining an engaging presence on multiple different social media sites," Moore told the newspaper.

He went on to offer an example of what goes into maintaining and growing that social media presence: "I have three X accounts, two TikToks, two Instagrams and of course my OnlyFans – it's a lot of social media work!"

And it's not exactly a life of leisure; Moore described a daily routine that starts early with sessions with a personal trainer and stretches into the evening hours.

"It's a hundred percent full on all the time," the OnlyFans star said. "I think people think it's an easy [job], but it's like any other job."

Except, of course, for those $600 monthly insurance payments to cover his penis – and, as Moore noted, the fact that his career makes it hard to have an ongoing relationship.

"I've had many partners over the years," Moore explained, "but it's difficult to find someone who can put up with all of this. I've come to terms with this after that."

"For the meantime," he added, "I'm going to be single and focus on my career a lot."

So will his fans.
