Sabrina Carpenter has recruited "Beetlejuice" sequel star Jenna Ortega in the music video fro her new single "Taste" and the young stars have a fun, flirty, bloody good time.
The video comes with a "graphic violence" warning, Variety reported, and the video does not disappoint on the gore, complete with murders, amputations and lots and lots of blood.
Variety described it as Tarantino-ish, but there were also call backs to some of our favorite iconic queer films, such as "Death Becomes Her."
The plot finds Ortega and Carpenter fighting over a boyfriend (played by fellow "Halloween" actor Rohan Campbell), with them going to great lengths to be the object of his affection.
"Ortega sets Carpenter on fire, cuts her arm off, throws her out of a window and impales her on a white picket fence, and electrocutes her," Variety reports, but somehow it all seems like good fun as they eventually end up teaming up against their desired lover.
And it all culminates with an epic funeral scene.
Carpenter is credited as a songwriter for "Taste" alongside Julia Michaels and Amy Allen, on the song. John Ryan and Ian Kirkpatrick are credited as producers, reported Variety.
Her new album, "Short n' Sweet," includes hit singles "Please Please Please" and "Espresso," and unreleased songs "Sharpest Tools," "Coincidence," "Good Graces," "Slim Pickins," "Juno," "Lie to Girls," "Bed Chem," "Dumb & Poetic," and "Don't Smile."
And Carpenters "Slim Pickins" is already taking off due to it seemingly sampling the Grindr app's message notification.
Carpenter is also set to kick off her "Sweet n' Sour" tour on Sept. 23 in Ohio. And the video for "Taste" perfectly sets the tone for things to come.
