The internet has brought back memories for one gay couple after their appearance on "Supermarket Sweep!" went viral, reported Entertainment Weekly.
On July 28, X user Tom Zohar posted about two male contestants from a 1991 episode of "Supermarket Sweep!" who introduced themselves as "business partners" who "design sets for plays."
Zohar apparently saw right through the coded language in their introduction and added, "I'm like oh I'm sure."
Fans of the show quickly jumped on the comment and began to wonder where the two men are today. Then somehow after 4 million views on X, the post managed to get back to the two men in question: Tim Leach and Mark Dammann.
In a Facebook post, Leach confirmed that they were indeed a couple then and are married today, having been together for 41 years, EW reported.
"Married in 2008 on our 25th anniversary as soon as it was legal in California. We ran a business together designing and painting backdrops and sets for 27 years," wrote Leach.
"The entire world is awful pretty much except for this," wrote one social media commentator on X about how the couple was located online decades later.
Another added, "Ohhhh this is the greatest! These two beauties! Swoon! Happy! Love!"
Zohar's post "has taken on a life of its own in the thread and comments," wrote Leach. "What a world!"
Indeed.
Leach and Dammann's appearance on "Supermarket Sweep!" can be streamed on Tubi.
