Fashion Awards 2023: Sam Smith Honored, Hunks Descend on the Red Carpet

The Fashion Awards 2023 were held on Monday at London's Royal Albert Hall, and superstar Sam Smith showed up to slay in not one, but two iconic outfits.
As reported by the Daily Mail, Smith was in attendance to accept the Cultural Innovator Award, an award given to them for their history of creating viral fashion moments, such as the balloon-like latex Harri outfit they wore to this year's Brit awards, pictured below.
Smith's first outfit was just for the red carpet, a military-inspired jacket with exaggerated shoulder pads, a black miniskirt, and big platform boots, all designed by Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood, according to Women's Wear Daily.
But when it came time to accept their award, which was presented by Lena Dunham, Smith changed into another Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood look, this time an eye-catching black gown complete with a taffeta train, a semi-sheer stole, and another pair of sky-high boots. They paired the gown with layered necklaces and earrings from Pragnell.
Caroline Rush, chief executive officer at the British Fashion Council, said that Smith was "a true cultural innovator who has fearlessly pushed the boundaries of both fashion and entertainment," going on to say that "Smith's unapologetic and groundbreaking style choices have dominated the industry in 2023 and we are incredibly grateful for their continued support of U.K. designers."
While Smith may have been one of the most talked-about guests in attendance, he wasn't the only honoree at the annual fashion show. Makeup and skincare goddess Charlotte Tilbury took home a Special Recognition Award and Giancarlo Giammetti accepted the Outstanding Achievement Award for Valentino Garavani, which was presented by Gwyneth Paltrow and featured a fashion show of 24 of Valentino's most iconic red dresses.
Aside from stars like Smith, Dunham, and Paltrow, The Fashion Awards 2023 drew a slew of other celebs like Anne Hathaway, Amal Clooney, Kate Moss, and Pamela Anderson, but there were also plenty of decked out hunks on the scene. Here are some of our favorites:
