Chris March, fashion designer and star of "Project Runway" Season 4, has died. He was 56.

Sources told TMZ March died on Thursday, Sept. 5 around 1:45 p.m. from a heart attack. They added the costume designer had been in-and-out of the hospital over the last year but the heart attack came as a surprise to doctors and family members.

TMZ reports that a nasty fall he suffered two years ago, March was still designing outfits.

March is best known for competing on "Project Runway" Season 4 and "Reject Runway All-Stars" where he placed fourth and 12th respectively. He also appeared a number of times on "The Real Housewives of New York" as he was a close friend to star Sonja Morgan.

March also designed outfits for Beyonce, Madonna, Lady Gaga, Jennifer Coolidge and more. He also designed Meryl Streep's 2010 Golden Globe and Oscars gowns.

In June 2017, March suffered a fall in his apartment where he hit his head and struggled to recover over the last few years. He had laid in his apartment for four days before waking up and calling 9-1-1, according to TMZ.

Andy Cohen took to Instagram to remember the talented designer, who also made costumes for Cirque du Soleil and a number of Broadway shows.

"This is how I'm going to remember Chris March, dressed as Lisa Vanderpump as I wear a Giggy costume he made for one of our first Halloween specials," he captioned the photo. "Chris was a finalist on Season 4 of 'Project Runway.' He designed for everyone from Beyoncé, Gaga, Madonna, Meryl, Prince and many legendary downtown drag queens (And Sonja Morgan!). He had a big booming laugh; he was a joy and delight. #RIP"

Back in 2018, Cohen shared a GoFundMe page in order to support his friend.
