"Many viewers noticed something was off during Saturday's episode of 'Justice With Judge Jeanine,'" particularly host Jeanine Pirro's disheveled appearance and slurred speech at times," Variety wondered today.

Fox News quickly responded that Pirro's odd behavior was due to "technical difficulties" caused by streaming from her home.

"Jeanine Pirro was broadcasting from her home for the first time when she encountered several technical difficulties which impacted the quality of her show, including the loss of a teleprompter. As we have previously said, we are operating with a reduced staff working remotely to ensure the health and safety of our employees in these unprecedented times," the spokesperson said in a statement to Variety.

"Jeanine Pirro missed the entire first segment of her show... and appeared disheveled when she did finally appear, her hair noticeably and uncharacteristically non-coiffured," the Guardian writes.

Since it was being broadcast from her home set against a backdrop of an American flag, we just thought her Dorian Gray-portrait had climbed out of the attic and replaced her in front of the camera, but her more down-to-earth look was due to the fact that there were no producers, hair and makeup staff or tech managers working on site at Pirro's home during Saturday's broadcast, a source close to Fox News told Variety.

Pirro was quick to tweet her defense on Sunday afternoon when she responded to a Twitter user who called her drunk.
