W San Francisco has completed its Gold Fever guest room renovation with an expanded roster of guest services. Located in the bustling heart of San Francisco's forward-looking SoMa neighborhood, W San Francisco's transformation reflects the city's distinctive culture, historic landmarks, electric urban energy, and non-stop social scene.

Inspired equally by San Francisco's Gold Rush era and its present-day fortune seeking, the new guest room design prompts guests to explore creative spaces and dares innovative minds to kick-start their own story at W San Francisco.

"With the launch of Gold Fever at W San Francisco, we aim to redefine expectations and cater to the extraordinary energy of today's cosmopolitan traveler with a fresh look, new amenities, and an ultra-modern vibe," said Roger Huldi, general manager of W San Francisco. "This is an exciting era of innovation in San Francisco and we are thrilled to be at the center of it all."

W San Francisco is located just steps from the city's celebrated museums, including the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Contemporary Jewish Museum and MoAD; Michelin-starred restaurants; bustling nightclubs; and craft cocktail bars. On-site amenities include the award-winning FIT gym, lively Living Room activations such as Living Room Live and What She Said, LEED Platinum-certified sustainable practices, the highly popular P.A.W. (Pets Are Welcome) program, and much more.

With an impressive roster of tech companies and startups that began their journeys at W San Francisco, the hotel continues to serve as a headquarter campus for the inspired by presenting networking events and offering collaborative work areas. The upcoming expansion of the neighboring Moscone Center, one of the most successful convention centers in the country, further solidifies W San Francisco's prime location at the crossroads of technology and innovation.

Designed by Skylab Architecture, W San Francisco's transformed Gold Fever guest rooms pay innovative homage to the 1849 Gold Rush that saw the population explode and the city arise virtually overnight, while celebrating the disruptive and irreverent founding principles of the technological revolution that fuels the San Francisco today. Elements of gold throughout the design combine with angular, beveled patterns and textures.

The carpet is a whimsical representation of the San Francisco city grid with gold threads tracing the routes of the city's crisscrossing cable car lines - arguably the city's first tech innovation. The walls display a gradient interpretation of the area's fog patterns with subtle touches of gold dust in the wallpaper. The fog is also represented in the gold-flaked white and gray bathroom tiles, which also cleverly depict San Francisco's famed topography.

W San Francisco collaborated with Solidarity of Unbridled Labour, Kristalia and Hansgrohe for the playful urban designs that grace the pillow covers, bed throws, custom graphics, and geometric chairs and stools that reflect the city's landmarks, culture and popular music from the 70s.
