"Queer Eye" star Tan France is set to become a father, with him and his husband Rob France expecting their first child through surrogacy. People magazine reports.

In an Instagram post he shared Tuesday, France is pictured playfully holding an ultrasound image over his stomach, and expresses his excitement over the announcement in the caption.

"So happy to finally share that WE'RE HAVING A BABY!!" France types. "No, I'm not pregnant, despite this VERY realistic pic. With the greatest gift/help of the most wonderful surrogate, Rob and I are lucky enough to be on our way to being parents this Summer. Something we've wanted for SOooo many years."

France topped off the expression of excitement, saying that him and Rob's "hearts are so full right now," and that he "cannot wait to hold this baby, and to show him so much love."

Rob, a successful artist, also shared a tribute to their incoming baby boy on his Instagram with a touching illustration.

"We have a beautiful little angel on the way and I didn't think it was humanly possible to feel like this," Rob wrote in the caption.

France has long stated his desire to have children, detailing this in an interview with NPR's Terry Gross in 2019.

"I've wanted children since I was 19, 20. If I'd had a stable relationship at that time, I would have desperately tried to have children," he told gross, and added at the time that "surrogacy for gay men costs a heck of a lot."
For France, that long wait is over, with him and Rob expecting their son this summer.
