Out Comedian Jaboukie Young-White, Issa Rae Team Up for New HBO Series

Out comedian Jaboukie Young-White has a new series on the way at HBO that will be executive produced by "Insecure" star and co-creator Issa Rae.

As reported by Variety, Young-White is developing the book "The Gang's All Queer: The Lives of Gay Gang Members" by Vanessa R. Panfil for TV.

"In the half-hour series, a closeted twenty-something in Chicago, grieving a gang-related death, ditches college to find reckless closure," Variety reports. "Young-White will write and executive produce the project. Rae will executive produce under her Hoorae banner along with Montrel McKay."

Young-White is an accomplished stand-up known for his appearances on "The Daily Show with Trevor Noah" at Comedy Central and a hilarious Twitter and Instagramfeed.
