FilmOut San Diego Announces 21st Annual LGBTQ Film Festival

The following is a press release from FilmOut San Diego:

FilmOut San Diego's 21st Annual LGBTQ Film Festival will take place from September 9-12, 2021. Forty-seven films will be screened during the four-day festival at the San Diego Natural History Museum (THE NAT) and the Museum of Photographic Arts (MOPA), both located in San Diego's historic Balboa Park.

We will feature award-winning films from Sundance, SXSW, and the Berlin Film Festival, along with independent features and a variety of short films.

The Opening Night Film and Party will take place on Thursday, September 9, 2021, @ 7:00 p.m. at THE NAT and our Closing Night Film will end the festival on Sunday, September 12, 2021, @ 7:00 p.m. at MOPA with a Closing Night Dessert Reception after the film.

In addition to the in-person festival, we will be adding four virtual films only available online during the festival *("Beyto," "Isaac," "On the Fringe of Wild," and "That Cold Dead Look in Your Eyes"). This will give our patrons who aren't quite ready to mingle an opportunity to participate in our festival from home. In addition, several filmmakers and talent plan to attend the in-person festival and participate in audience Q&As after their respective screenings.
