International Mr. Leather celebrated a Sapphire Anniversary in Chicago at The Congress Plaza Hotel & Convention Center. For the 45th year, the popular market once again had vendors and attendees from all across the globe mingling and cruising.
POW! Superhero Fetish Party was held at The Congress Plaza Hotel, home of the International Mr. Leather market. The crowd enjoyed Crocodile Rockstar playing Elton John tunes on the piano, DJ's spinning music, and a cabaret performance by PennyTration.
Roscoe's Tavern presented a RuPaul's Drag Race season 15 viewing party with two cast members, Princess Poppy and Irene "The Alien" Dubois. Season 12 contestant Naysha Lopez and local drag queen Batty Davis hosted the performance segment of the evening.
Santa Speedo Run returned to Sidetrack the Video Bar. This Year's proceeds went to Center on Halsted's youth housing project. The event, where participants run around the neighborhood in festive attire, has raised over $600,000 since beginning in 2011.
The legendary Haunted Halsted Halloween Parade returned for the 25th time, kicking off at 7:30 p.m. from Halsted Street and Belmont Avenue, the parade route traveled north and then looped back to a stage on Roscoe Street for the annual costume contest.
Hosted by A Queer Pride, The Warehouse opened at Berlin Nightclub with an after-party for English singer Jessie Ware. Drag queens and DJs also kept the party going. Ware sang "What's Your Pleasure" and blew out candles as she turned 37 at midnight.
Riot Fest took over Douglass Park in Chicago with plenty of music acts full of LGBTQ+ representation including Yungblud, Lunachicks, Pale Waves, Destroy Boys, Coolio, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Jimmy Eat World.
The 40th Northalsted Market Days street festival ran in the Lakeview area of Chicago. The Bud Light Selzer Stage lit up with talents such as Ada Vox, The Aces and Fleece.
