Wendi McLendon-Covey Headlines Natl. Coming Out Day Benefit for The Trevor Project

Thursday Oct 5, 2017

On Friday, October 6 at Los Angeles' MiMoDa Studio, comedy goddess Wendi McLendon-Covey headlines Don't Tell My Mother! "Coming Out Show" benefiting The Trevor Project.
This special night celebrates our six-year anniversary, as well as National Coming Out Day as McLendon-Covey of "The Goldbergs," "Reno 911!," and "Bridesmaids" fame, tells a totally true story she'd never want her mom to know.

A hundred percent of proceeds will be donated to The Trevor Project, the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to LGBTQ young people ages 13-24. Joining McLendon-Covey are "Transparent" star Alexandra Billings, "Survivor's" Zeke Smith, comic Jen Kober of "The Mindy Project," Nikki Levy and music by Abby and The Myth.

This event is the brainchild of TV executive Nikki Levy ("Frost/Nixon"). Don't Tell My Mother! is a critically-acclaimed storytelling phenomenon where comics, actors, and performers share true stories they'd never want their mothers to know. Using her development background, Levy works with talent to curate their pieces, delivering an evening that's become a go-to for industry executives.

Featuring a new cast every month, past performers include Kate McKinnon, Tracee Ellis Ross, Lance Bass, Teri Hatcher, Fortune Feimster ("Chelsea Lately"), Amy Landecker ("Transparent") & Allison Tolman ("Fargo").

This event is sponsored by California Cryobank. One vial of sperm to be raffled off ($800 value).

The event kicks off at 7 p.m. with a full bar and food service. At 8 p.m., the show and music begins. Tickets are $20-25. It will be held at MiMoDa Studio, 5774 W. Pico Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90019.
