Scissor Sisters...Have a NYC Kiki!

The Friday night lights along NYC's 42nd Street gleamed inevitably brighter as the eagerly awaited magic hour descended on club revelers anticipating the arrival of the ├╝ber-groovy dance band Scissor Sisters who rocketed into the XL Nightclub. Riding high on the success of their current musical opus, "Magic Hour" released in spring, Scissor Sisters was main staging at Hell's Kitchen music venue Terminal 5, but dropped in for a Kiki - and let the night crawlers have it!

"Let's Have a Kiki" the title of their latest single from "Magic Hour," is steadfastly providing the dance floor with its new fave anthem and giving the launched New York City underground scene "out loud and proud" band some very hard-earned appreciation and traction in club land. The group kept an eager handful of nightlife's most recognizable denizens, including
"Drag Race"
finalist Manilla Luzon, waiting until they dominated the stage at Rockit, the landmark Friday night presented by FV Events at the epicenter of all NYC club culture, the XL Nightclub.

The fantastic foursome was introduced by one-half of the band's lead vocalists, the gorgeously glamorous Ana Matronic who sprung right into "Let's Have a Kiki's" opening mini-monologue looking like anything but "a drowned rat". The growing ever-more sexy-by-the-day front man Jake Shears, was dealing the moves, and not to be left out of the goings-on band mates Babydaddy and Del Marquis were serving up more than their share of smiles to the raucous crowd. No sooner had they taken the spotlight, did Scissor Sisters make like shady love and exited stage left. It was shear delight!

Scissor Sisters Come Home

Synching their place in club-culture as one of the scene’s most outspoken and original bands in pop/dance, Scissor Sisters has been dealing the signature sound that has become an innovative mix of disco, glam & pop rock, with a healthy dose of rap for good measure since the turn of the millennium. They’ve made fans of Sir Elton John, Kylie Minogue and Bono. With their latest album "Magic Hour" the group has demonstrated that they don’t have to compromise on their creativity for commercial success. "Magic Hour" is easily Scissor Sisters’ most radio-friendly set of tracks, but it’s still serving it hard to the dance floor that nurtured their talent.

Again XL and FV Events prove that it has its pulse on the vein of nightlife, bringing Scissor Sisters to their stage for an impromptu appearance at Rockit - launching the weekend into orbit!

Scissor Sister’s "Magic Hour" featuring "Let’s Have a Kiki" as well as the debut hit single "Only the Horses" is available on CD and on all digital download stores.
