The Summer Anthems...Dueling Divas!
In a season steeped with competitive dance divas...which one is poised to emerge with the summer of 2012's winning anthem? It would seem that the race to reach the top of the dance charts is on! And no small wonder - the ladies are hitting all the high notes and the remixing madness hasn't even hit the Pride party circuit yet.
Of course Madonna, the Queen of Pop is leading the pack. Already getting the head start with her #1 album "MDNA" which has proven more than addictive. Its premiere single...the one that's been getting all our L-U-V: "Girl Gone Wild" has everyone looking for Molly on the dance floor. Joining her in this quest is premiere DJ/remix producer AVCII who unleashed his exclusive remix of the track at the Ultra Music Conference in Miami to a barrage of controversy, proving that Madonna has still got a lot of fire yet to burn.
Pay close attention to emerging remixes from '"MDNA" most notably on the next single "Turn Up the Radio" by Richard Vission and Marco V, and Tracy Young's Private Remix of the bass-thumping "Gang Bang" is raising temperatures on the circuit coast-to-coast. Madonna will undoubtedly be packing heat this summer on her world tour - the gayest ticket in town!
It’s Time to CeCe Celebrate!
Finally winning her way back into the the hearts and minds of her fans everywhere is 90’s dance goddess CeCe Peniston who is throwing a party inaugurating her new single "Celebrate". The remix for the hip-shaking new single has Pride anthem written all over it proving the dance floor still has a love thing for Ms. Peniston. Her spectacularly unique vocal sound made her a club-mainstay that has drifted ever so slightly away from the limelight, but after sharing a stage at this past Dinah event in Palm Springs with Chaka Khan, this diva is poised to party (more to come).
Don’t count baby-mama Beyoncé out of the bounce. Just to keep herself relevant and enough to remind us that she has our love on top, Lady B has released an EP offering of hot reinventions tightly packed into "4: The Remix." Dave Audé’s powerfully potent take on "Run the World (Girls)" leads the pack, followed by Lars B’s own "Best Thing I Never Had" but it’s the previously unreleased "Love On Top" offered from DJ Escape & Tony Coluccio’s that’s going to have everyone ready for the Ascension on Fire Island this summer.
As the clouds part and and the horizon looks all the more tempting, its good to know that the sounds of summer are starting to make its play for the set list. There will be countless additional tracks to keep an ear out for, but in the meantime keep it here as we give you an insight and earful of clubland’s reigning remixes.
