Million Dollar Quartet is the smash-hit musical inspired by the famed recording session of rock 'n' roll icons Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins. A Chicago production of Million Dollar Quartet opened in 2008 and is still playing to packed houses at the Apollo Theatre. When the Broadway production opened in April 2010, critics and audiences leapt to their feet in unanimous praise and the musical continues its successful New York engagement at New World Stages. Now, the national tour makes a stop at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts for its Orange County premiere.

???The production received the Tony Award for Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Musical and a nomination for Best Musical and Best Book of a Musical. The show received an Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Featured Actor in a Musical, a Drama Desk nomination for Outstanding Musical Revue and three Drama League nominations, including Distinguished Production of a Musical and Distinguished Performance

Portraying these icons are Lee Ferris as Carl Perkins, Martin Kaye as Jerry Lee Lewis, Derek Keeling as Johnny Cash, Cody Slaughter as Elvis Presley and Christopher Ryan Grant will play the "Father of Rock'n'Roll," Sam Phillips.

The story goes that on December 4, 1956, an auspicious twist of fate brought Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley together. Sam Phillips, the Father of Rock'n'Roll" is responsible for launching each of the iconic careers. On a whim, he devised a plan to bring the four legendary musicians together at The Sun Records store front studio in Memphis for the first and only time. The resulting evening became known as one of the greatest rock'n'roll jam sessions in history.

Million Dollar Quartet immortalizes that legendary night with an irresistible all-over- the-map tale of broken promises, secrets, betrayal and celebrations. Here's the best part, eye candy galore, as the young men sing a diverse arrangement of rock, gospel, R&B and country hits including; "Blue Suede Shoes", "Fever," "Sixteen Tons," "Who Do You Love?," "Great Balls of Fire," "Matchbox," "Walk the Line," "Folsom Prison Blues," "Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On," "Hound Dog" and other carefully selected classics.
